Modernism Week in Palm Springs: The Christopher Kennedy Compound!

Modernism Week in Palm Springs was such a fun and exciting weekend in the city, and by far the best event was the stunning showhome known as the Christopher Kennedy Compound! Each year, the fabulously talented Christopher Kennedy restores a classic mid-century modern house and brings together the nation’s top design talents to create a stunning, liveable, and truly modern home in Palm Springs.

The Christopher Kennedy Compound at Modernism Week

This year, the Christopher Kennedy Compound was the home of blogger Kelly Golightly, and it was extra special for us to attend, meet Kelly and Christopher, and explore Villa Golightly, the most insanely gorgeous home we've ever seen. Because this is what the glamour of Palm Springs is all about, right? How jaw-dropping is this terrace?! Nothing like a Tiffany blue barbeque...

After going for a swim, you can casually make your way into the Beyonce-themed restroom beside the pool, with 3D printed lemonade wallpaper...no big deal.

There's walk in closets, and there's offices, but what if the two of them came together? That's right, welcome to the coolest workspace we've ever seen, the #CLOFFICE. The entire home had an amazing retro vibe, from the bathrooms to the multiple living rooms, and we couldn't get enough! Another one of our favorite designs in the home was this amazing "millennial pink" bedroom by Sarah Sherman Samuel. Sarah also designed Light Lab, a cool studio space in LA by our friends Caroline and Jayden, so we knew this was going to be a room that stole the show. You couldn't find a better pairing to a pink dream room than an ensuite with a bathtub full of Moet, designed by the fabulous Dawn McCoy! 

Best Event at Palm Springs Modernism Week

This is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the amazing experience of the Christopher Kennedy Compound. Definitely snag tickets to this event in Palm Springs, it's only on during the two weeks of Modernism Week and this design showcase alone makes us want to go back every year!
