Inside The Ferg, A Scandinavian-Inspired Loft in Prince Edward County
Finding gorgeous and unique places to stay is our favorite hobby, so when we were planning our trip to Prince Edward County, we just had to stay at The Ferg! This adorable and historic heritage home is located in the heart of Prince Edward County's wine country in the town of Picton, Onatrio. You're super central to the rest of The County, but we loved how we were just a short walk away to restaurants in town too!
Where to Stay in Prince Edward County
The Ferg is run by our friend Jaime Kowal and her friend Anna, so we knew it was going to be good! (Jaime also runs our Palm Springs faves The Amado and The Junipero). Her and Anna created a distinct vibe for The Ferg, and we loved reading all about the history of this amazing house!
The Ferg has a main house divided into separate guest suites, but we lucked out and got to stay in the amazing two-story Loft! This is a gorgeous and romantic space with the best selfie lighting (#priorities), and we had the most relaxing time staying at The Ferg in Prince Edward County.
The kitchen is gorgeous, and even though we didn't use it much because of all the good food the County has to offer, it was nice to be able to wake up and enjoy all of our space! There's not a ton happening at night time in The County, so we spent our nights cozied up in the living room with a good glass of wine and a book. This would be the perfect place for a romantic vacation, or even to rent out all the units for a fun girls weekend of wine tasting!
The Loft was originally a horse stable, but you'd never know it now! Jaime and Anna thoughtfully renovated and decorated the entire space themselves, inspired by Scandinavian farmhouses. Upstairs, you'll find a bright reading nook that overlooks the living space, a gorgeous washroom with original clawfoot tub, and the cozy bedroom.
We loved sleeping on this comfy king bed, and the whole loft is honestly just so peaceful. You can really feel the history of the area, and read about it in their super helpful guidebook!
