A Vancouver Staycation
Summer is perfect for travelling, but sometimes you don't have to go very far to treat yourself! Travelling is usually the most stressful part of a vacation, so if you cut out airports, security lines, and traffic, you're left with the best parts of a vacation: relaxation. Ahhhhhhh, staycations. We took a break out of our schedule to have a weekend in downtown Vancouver, and it was surprisingly nice to just check out from our normal neighbourhood and check in to a resort instead.
We packed our bags, hailed a cab, and headed a whole 20 minutes to our “staycation” destination: The Pan Pacific Vancouver. Lots of people have asked what our favorite luggage for travel is, and we are currently loving our Cuyana pieces: Elaine uses her leather tote practically every day, and Taylor carries around her life in her bright travel case sets.
The Pan Pacific has the best views of Vancouver that we’ve ever seen (and we live here!), but luckily you don’t need to be staying here to enjoy them! Stop by for a glass of wine on the restaurant patio (the chicken burger is unreal) and sit yourself down for a beautiful sunset with the water and mountains.
Vancouver's pool scene is pretty lacking, so we were ecstatic to enjoy the amazing outdoor pool on the Pan Pacific deck, both at night and in the morning! Pool access is one of the perks of booking in at Spa Utopia inside the hotel, so even if you're a local you can enjoy the pool before or after one of your treatments. We highly recommend the "Designed for U" facial - we'd never had a facial before and it was pretty much the most relaxing and amazing thing ever.
