Spend Your Summer Vacation at an A-Frame Cabin in Yosemite National Park
Yosemite is a gorgeous place to explore all year round, but we had the best summer vacation at Yosemite National Park! Thanks to our beautiful a-frame cabin rental from Boutique Homes, it was a relaxing trip full of sunshine, nature, and lots of relaxation. Here's some travel inspiration for your next trip, including the best place to stay in Yosemite National Park!
Getting to Yosemite National Park
We picked up our rental car in San Francisco and drove 3.5 hours to Yosemite National Park. Our car ended up being a VW Bug convertible, which was perfect because it was over 100 degrees while we were there! Hello, heat wave. We felt like we were on a safari the whole weekend, so we definitely recommend getting a convertible for your summer trip to Yosemite.
Where to Stay in Yosemite National Park: An A-Frame Cabin in the Woods
We stayed slightly outside of Yosemite National Park in a gorgeous, remote a-frame cabin with our friends. Located in the Oakhurst area, it's only about a 30 minute drive from the park entrance that is closest to Fresno. The a-frame cabin comfortably sleeps 4 people, it has great WIFI (essential if you work remote!) and a barbecue for some late night grilling.
The a-frame cabin is so lovely, you could spend a ton of time just relaxing and playing ukulele with your friends! We loved the decor of this cabin, we instantly felt inspired and at home, all at the same time. Nothing like a little mid-century decor out in nature!
We loved that there is a grocery store nearby if you need anything, and if you're visiting Yosemite National Park in the summer, definitely bring bug spray!
Exploring Yosemite National Park
Of course we had to spend time visiting the actual park too! We explored Yosemite National Park and enjoyed all the main spots and viewpoints, like the view of half dome. You can check out this blog post for all of the best exploring spots in Yosemite from our last trip!
It even rained inside the park while we were exploring, which we didn't mind one bit considering it was over 100 degrees out! [Yellow Drawstring Backpack from Frachella!]
The sunsets in Yosemite National Park and the Oakhurst area are seriously the best. We hung out at Bass Lake one afternoon, which is only about 10 minutes away from the cabin! The perfect place to cool off in the summer heat.
We had the best time staying in this gorgeous A-frame cabin from Boutique Homes - we will definitely be checking out more of their beautiful places to stay for future trips! You can book this cabin here or explore more of their homes here.
