Araxi's Longtable Dinner Series in Pemberton, BC

This weekend we took a mini road trip up the Sea to Sky Highway and back to Pemberton, BC! This time there was no music festival involved, but the mountains were still gorgeous as usual. Us and about 200+ people made the journey from Vancouver for the Araxi Longtable Dinner Series and it was the perfect end to an amazing summer. Seriously, this event is a dream!

The Araxi Longtable Dinner Series takes place twice during the summer (you can sign up here!) and is put on by the local and award-winning Executive Chef James Walt. Araxi is known for being a stellar restaurant in nearby Whistler, and this dinner was about all things local and farm-to-table! Which was fitting, considering the dinner takes place on an actual farm! North Arm Farm is a 60-acre working organic farm, and the best part is you can visit too: they serve farm lunches and picnics daily!

A local favorite we were happy to learn about was the gin grapefruit lavender cocktails that were made with Schramm Gin, a local distillery. So delicious!

And then it was time for the much anticipated event: the long table dinner! And oh boy, was it long. We even got to meet the farmers and tour the fields where the produce was picked just hours before. Doesn't get more farm-to-table than that! The dinner itself was amazing, and the 62-day aged beef was even more amazing.

We loved meeting all the amazing locals and travellers at the dinner, like Joann from Slice of Pai (she lives in Paris now!), Brian Grellmann from London, Maurice from Stay + Wander, and our new best friends Sid and Joan Cross (you can follow Sid's wine and food knowledge here).

To cap off the evening, we spent the night at Summit Boutique Lodge in Whistler. We loved this space, and all the rooms are bright, large, and modern (with a mini-bar that operates on the good 'ole honor system). Overall, this was an amazing weekend and you should definitely sign up for next summer's long table dinners here

Hope you all had a great long weekend! We were gifted free dinner tickets + a stay for this blog post.
