A Magical Night in Whistler
Whistler is a popular destination for everyone around the world, but for Vancouver locals like us, sometimes we take it for granted! To help make your next trip a little more magical (or romantic), here's our suggestions on where to stay and where to go out in Whistler Village!
Summit Lodge Boutique Hotel
We've stayed at Summit Lodge Boutique Hotel a few times on our recent trips, and we really, really love it! Each room comes with it's own iPad mini and Instax camera for you to use during your stay, and an honor system mini-bar. Nothing like Canadian hospitality, eh?
The location in the Village is really convenient - you're right across the street from good coffee at Purebread, tacos at La Cantina, and crepes from Crepe Montagne! There's also cruiser bikes for you to borrow (when it's not winter!) and a candy bar at the front desk.
Summit Lodge is an awesome combination of hotel amenities mixed with the camp vibes of a lodge. Next time, we just have to make time for the hot tub too!
Bar Oso
Once you're all settled in at the hotel, get ready for a romantic night out on the town! We checked out Toptable Group's newest Whistler spot, Bar Oso, and we quickly became obsessed! Araxi is the fine-dining staple in Whistler, and Bar Oso is like their sassy little sister. Just look at those cocktails!
The menu is full of modern, Spanish-inspired tapas and a wide selection of house-made charcuterie boards. And when we say wide selection, we mean pretty much every charcuterie you can think of (the foie gras is our favorite). We were so happy to discover not only an amazing gin and tonic, but an entire gin and tonic menu! This is definitely the place to be for a fun night with good company, good food, and yes...gooooood cocktails.
And last but not least...the Oso Sour comes with a strip of maple-smoked bacon on top. Ah-mazing.
